Lifeguard Straw Sun Hat

It's got a nice wide brim and the crown is a nice shape. For it being made of straw I find the plastic hatband/chin strap quite poor.
If a lifeguard wears it outside all day they will get sun because there's lots of space in the weaving. I've worn sunhats since 1970 and every few years I have to replace one and I look for the biggest brim. This was the one. After I wear it in high summer I'll have a better take on its sun protection properties.

I was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable the straw hat fits and the large amount of sun protection it provides overall.
