HAWX wasn’t born from one simple idea. It was actually the brainchild of a small team of footwear developers, work boot merchandisers, and product strategists—people who have spent their entire careers in the retail and work boot industry.
They saw the need for an innovative work brand. There was a gap in the market for 20–30-year-old males in the blue collar work space. The skilled labor who takes pride in feeding, building, and fueling the nation—those who are proudly blue collar by choice. This customer needed something industry specific, tailored to their individual trades; they needed something they could identify with personally, a boot they could walk off the jobsite in and go straight to the bar afterwards.
That’s when they thought of HAWX.
At first, we called HAWX badass work gear. Because back in 2017, that’s how we viewed it. But today, after years of research, proprietary safety and comfort technology development, and countless iterations of design to perfect each boot, HAWX has evolved into the solution for skilled trades industry workers.
From the brains of many, one simple idea was formed—that those who work with their hands and stand on their feet day in and day out shouldn’t have to compromise on work gear.

We design our boots around industry-specific requirements. We field test, fit test, and wear test, we get feedback, develop proprietary technology to best serve the people wearing the boots, and construct our boots—lace-up, pull-on, safety toe, soft toe, puncture resistant, waterproof, and so on—to provide the experience the industrial workforce is looking for.
